Just a quick update, now that the new semester has gotten under way. It still looks like a busy semester, though hopefully not as busy as the last one: Greek 2b, OT Exegesis: Psalms, Christ in the OT, Canon Law, Hospital Ministry for a total of 16.5 hours. Just as during the last two semesters, I'll be putting up notes on the classes on my wiki in case anyone is interested in seeing what we're learning.

Thank you for putting up the wiki notes! It would be nice if all the students there did likewise. Now if only the monks at Mount Athos would do the same. Hm.
You're welcome. When I first started getting interested in theology, I kept looking for the sort of resource I'm hoping the wiki will become and couldn't find one. That was the rationale behind starting it. I don't know that it would help to have every student post notes, but it would be nice to have notes from each class so that most of the curriculum would be covered.
As for the monks at Mount Athos (or elsewhere, for that matter), I'm afraid their knowledge is much harder to quantify and put on paper than the material for our courses.
in Christ,

Somewhere in your blog you mention your desire to visit Mount Athos. You have in your area (in Belmont, MA) a man who is very familiar with Mount Athos. His name is Dr. Constantine Cavarnos. I assume he is still living (he would be quite elderly now). It would be worthwhile to make an appointment and visit Dr. Cavarnos. I think some his books on Mount Athos may be for sale at the seminary's bookstore and, certainly, his books are in the seminary's library.
If only some of the abbots at Mount Athos would put up a blog. How nice it would be to read such a blog from contemporary Athonite abbots. (I must say that your wife's idea about having you start a blog was an excellent idea.)
