Ordination

I am the priest at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Cedar Rapids, IA. It took me twenty six years and a long and fairly succesful incursion in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics to start on this road, but here I am, hoping to learn how to pray, how to live, and how to love. These are my thoughts, questions, musings, wonderings, as I try to serve God.

Wow, you're a priest now! Congratulations. I guess I can't think of you as "Deacon Virgil" anymore.

I owe all my American Orthodoxy current events perspicacity to the customizable features of Google News. :)
Axios, Axios, Axios, Fr. Peter!!! I just read Magda's posts. Fr. Christos and I are so sorry for your losses. May their memories be eternal. We are praying for you both and we love you both and miss you very much! May the Lord always remember your holy priesthood in His kingdom!!!!!
I am curious to learn the Orthodox Church link with the Hellenic culture. So I've suggested some readings on my blogsite. Could you help me with your comments?
